Identification
Abdomen red or orange; pale abdominal spots obscure in male, more noticeable in duller female or in juveniles; anterior margin of wings green
Range
Maine, south to Florida, west to Missouri, to south-central Texas. Also documented in Ontario.
Season
Summer months, may be out year round far south, becoming scarce from November-February.
