Tiny beetle - Anthrenus verbasci

Tiny beetle - Anthrenus verbasci
Durham, Durham County, North Carolina, USA
May 18, 2008
Size: 1 or 2 mm long
This tiny beetle showed up on a daisy in a meadow. My impression is that beetles of this species are abundant in this setting.

Moved
Moved from Carpet Beetles.

Looks like one of the
Carpet Beetles (Anthrenus), maybe varied carpet beetle (Anthrenus verbasci)

Thank you!
I should have guessed! I remember thinking that this would make a wonderful pattern for a carpet. Next time I'll try thinking a little more outside the box!
