Dragonfly - Perithemis tenera

Dragonfly - Perithemis tenera
Cooks Slough Nature Park, Uvalde County, Texas, USA
August 18, 2019
Size: 2 inch
Hovering over small stream. Resting on algal surface.

Moved
Moved from Dragonflies.

Markings on the wings and uniformly pale legs make this an eastern amberwing.

Habitat?
Was there lots of tree cover to provide shade, or was the stream completely exposed to the sun?

Perithemis
not sure how to tell tenera from domitia from this angle, but someone likely does.
