Unknown Anarta (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) - Anarta trifolii - Male
Big Bay, Marquette County, Michigan, USA
July 25, 2019
Size: wingspan 35mm
This moth was taken in a UV trap at a jackpine barrens on Lake Superior in northern Michigan last July. At first I thought it was just an oddly-marked Anarta trifolii but not sure now, as it also looks like a few western Anarta spp. Curious to see what others think.
