Found off the side of the sunset bay pier at White Rock lake. Will add one additional view. Not sure of gender

Figured it was in that family. Wonder if it can be id'ed to genus?

 
To ID down to a genus...Most
To ID down to a genus...Most of the time, key identifiers lie in the wing venation with pretty much all winged insects; “ stained glass patterns ”. And, a steady hand with a hand lense or microscope.

Other alternatives...Hook up with an entomologist with your local Extension office or your local National Park. National Parks, many, have voucher specimens (flora and fauna) that have been collected.
