Large black beetle on Prickly Pear - Moneilema

Large black beetle on Prickly Pear - Moneilema
Williamson County, Texas, USA
Size: ~ 1 inch
Quite a few of these large black beetles were active on the prickly pears in late afternoon (about 5 pm) May 17; some were copulating, but impossible to photograph due to their location between the cactus pads. Haven't seen them elsewhere on the place, or on any plants but prickly pear. The cactus is flowering now, but past peak.

ID
M. semipunctatum

Moneilema armatum known from Travis Co.

Moneilema semipunctatum?
There appear to be several light bands on the antennal segments.

Yes, there were light bands.
Yes, there were light bands. In a few images, where the antennae were sharper and the rest of the insect was blurry, they show up better.

This certainly looks like the same critter. Thanks!
