Stonefly?

Stonefly?
10 miles north of Doniphan, Ripley County, Missouri, USA
May 21, 2008
Size: ~20 mm

Moved
Moved from Striped Stone.

Probably not Perlinella
Ethan Bright's Perlinella species key (Aquatic Insects of Michigan) describes drymo as having a dark pronotal stripe bordered by pale areas, the opposite of this specimen. In addition, Perlinella has angular "corners" at the rear of the head and crossveins between the first two anal veins, which does not appear to be the case here.

ID
I am fortunate to have the keys to the families of stoneflies. The size of this specimen, the cross veins in the back of the front wings and the two black spots on the yellow head are characteristics of Perlinella drymo. This is in the family Perlidae (common stoneflies).

Thanks for your help!!
Looks like we'll need a new guide page for this one!

Not an ID
but I agree with your impression of a stonefly (Plecoptera). Maybe someone can get it to family or genus?
