small 2-tone beetle on fungus - Sciodrepoides

small 2-tone beetle on fungus - Sciodrepoides
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
May 26, 2005
Size: 2.5 - 3.5 mm
I had picked a fungus, broken it up to look for beetles, and dropped it next to my reptile carrion bait station. This morning I found this tiny beetle on the underside of one of the pieces.

Thank you, Belov.
There are two spp. on the New Hampshire checklist: S. fumat*us termin*ans and S. wats*oni hornian*us.

pls move it accordingly. Off the record:
this one looks like watsoni to me

Yes, I thought so also.
The other sp. seems to have a more blunt apex (hence "terminan*s"?).

Leoididae
one of the Cholevine genera

Great to get a tag!
Moving to Leoididae.
