Moved from Physocephala.

The "brick red" hue, single central black stripe of dorsum of thorax, reddish cheek, and very short 1st antennal segment indicate P. burgessi. Lack of a theca and plate-like "hooked" terminal abdominal segment indicate a male, as you thought.
