Neat Bug; on the wall cavorting with the moths under the porch light - not really I think it was lost. I did not realize the coloration until I examined the macro. Wow .. a designer bug .. by a committee.

Yes, weevil
but not one of the two mentioned. Curculionidae sp. is safe for the moment, may belong in Molytinae subfamily.

Looks similar
I live in cotton country. This reminds me of a boll weevil in shape but it is too big. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boll_weevil

Tentative ID
This may be a tooth-nosed snout weevil (Rhynchitinae) - not sure of the variety. The pitted surfaces may help further with the ID. Nice pic.
