Moth with forest camouflage colors, 13mm long - Pyralis farinalis

Moth with forest camouflage colors, 13mm long - Pyralis farinalis
Alexandria, Virginia, USA
June 29, 2020
Size: 13mm
It was initially hiding under the lid of one of my yard waste recycle bins which are on brick pavers underneath my small back deck attached to the east side of the house. I first saw it after I lifted the lid and it flew down to the pavers and went underneath the bin. I moved the bin. It flew again and then eventually settled so I could take some pictures of it.
