Blister Beetles - Lytta magister - male - female

Blister Beetles - Lytta magister - Male Female
Saguaro National Park, West of Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, USA
March 27, 2005
Size: 30 mm
We were hiking on the trail at Signal Rock (a hike that started with two Mojave Rattlesnakes crossing the trail!) and found a lot of blister beetles mating and feeding on Lupine. We think Eric identified this as Lytta magister on some earlier images.
