Spider atop egg case on Knapweed - Thanatus - Female
6 miles NW Lyons, Boulder County, Colorado, USA
July 6, 2005
This spider seems to be sitting on a large square egg case on top of Knapweed in the Colorado foothills at 6400' elevation. It seems to resemble a genus, Thanatus
in the Running Crab Spider (Family Philodromidae. Any help with its ID is greatly appreciated.

Moved to genus for now
