Stenotarsus hispidus

Stenotarsus hispidus
Kings Grant Nature Trail Marlton, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
May 23, 2008
Size: Maybe around 4 mm?
I found this on a fence post a short distance from a marshy stream. I don't have any real idea, but Genus Prionocyphon had some minor similarities.

Moved
Moved from Beetles.

The antennae and prototal contours
remind me of Endo*mychidae. If it is one, it's a new species for bugguide.

Endo*mychidae
Jim is right, definitely an e*ndomychid. I am no e*ndomychid expert and cannot say for sure, but this looks a whole lot like S*tenotarsus h*ispidus.

Oh, and sweet find and great images. Thanks for posting them.

That's a good enough fit for me.
Moving to new genus/species page.

Thanks!
I appreciate both of your help! My first one in this family.
