Found in backyard, unable to fly so put in large jar. Shortly it began to climb all over the inside of the jar. New bug for us so kept overnight, chilled in refrig in morning and took to yard to photograph. We watched is warm up so it could walk but couldn't fly. Ants began to eat it so put in back in jar and killed ants. Put where ants could get at it and it moved for awhile and then died. Image cropped but color is true. Checked and couldn't find an exact max but it fit a group of wasps and hornets in black and yellow colors.
