Aquatic larva

Aquatic larva
Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa, USA
July 5, 2020
Size: ~15mm
Found this in some duckweed I had brought inside from the pond. See them occasionally around the edge of the pond eating snails and other things. Thinking it is some kind of aquatic beetle larva. Took a couple quick pics and then put it back in the pond.
