Hi there, could I ask how you came to your species determination here? This bee does not appear to have the characteristic reddish T1 of
H. nelumbonis
, and from what is visible the pit size and depth on the mesepisternum and scutum does not seem large or deep enough. This species is also a wetland specialist, so if it was nectaring at a woodland edge, there would need to be a wetland nearby (perhaps the user can let us know).
