It was flitting around my tomato pots, then along below the gutter of my house—looking for Carpenter bee nests with eggs, into which it would lay its own eggs, whose larvae would eat those of the Carpenter bee—before landing on a leaf of one of my daylilies. This is a heavily cropped shot from my iPhone 6.
