An adult female Northern Black Widow (Latrodectus variolus), photographed using a brighter exposure in order to better capture the details of the spider's frontal abdominal markings, as well as its cephalothorax (head) and eye arrangement.

Seriously, man...she was one of the most stubborn spiders I've ever tried to photograph. It was a long photo session, I'll tell ya that!
