Actrix nyssaecolella

Actrix nyssaecolella
Karnack, Harrison County, Texas, USA
June 22, 2020
Size: 13mm
Larva fashioned an interesting pupation shelter out of the underside of a pine bark chip and detritus. The result was too tightly packed to get open without affecting the pupa. Very effective at preventing predation by caterpillar photographers.
