Copper species? - Lycaena xanthoides - Male
Sno-Park, Yuba Pass, Highway 49 , Sierra County, California, USA
July 9, 2020
Size: 1/2 inch +/-
I observed this small butterfly while standing on the border of the Sno-Park parking area near a field of plants with whitish blossoms. I suspect that the image is of a male Great Copper but I'm not positive.
