Small iridescent beetle - Strongylium crenatum

Size: 8 mm in length
Lay on its back like a click beetle until the threat went away, then rolled over and slowly walked off. Is it unusual for the eyes to wrap around the bottom of the head like this? Must be a reason, food, predators.
