Fuzz-collecting Bug

Fuzz-collecting Bug
Honolulu/Manoa County, Hawaii, USA
May 26, 2008
Size: 3 mm
This bug collects various debris on its’ back which I presume is a method of disguise. It looks like a small pile of fuzz and is only noticeable when it moves. I don't even know where to start in trying to figure out what it is. Any help with identification would be appreciated!

Green lacewing larva
you'll find similar ones in the guide - I think the debris-carrying larvae are all of one family. See here.

Lacewing larva
Thanks Hannah! That was a remarkably fast response. We have both green and brown lacewing here but according to some comments in the lacewing section the brown lacewing don't collect debris on their backs so I'll assume this is a green lacewing larva (Chrysoperla comanche) which is an introduced species here.
