Arizona Scarab - Coscinocephalus cribrifrons

Arizona Scarab - Coscinocephalus cribrifrons
Cave Creek, Chiricahua Mountains, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
August 16, 2007
Size: Body length 18 mm
I have seen these beetles in the Chiricahuas and in Gardner Canyon. This one was on a rock in the creek and acting pretty sluggish (maybe had gone for a dip?). The date above was the date of collection.

Moved
I am reasonably certain this is correct - Enrodi only illustrates the genitalia [no habitus], but from description and by process of elimination - has to be this.

Coscinocephalus cribrifrons - best guess
I don't have any to compare, but description matches, maybe someone like Dennis has one on hand to confirm. If you're feeling ambitious - run it through the key to genera. If genus is correct, only sp.
