rusty-patched bumble bee? - Bombus affinis
Harris Tract, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
July 17, 2020
Size: ~15 mm
I'm pretty sure this is a rusty-patched bumble bee (B. affinis) but I don't want to make a mistake about ID with an endangered species.

Bombus affinis
Thanks for confirming the identity of this rusty-patched bumble bee, John! Winneshiek County Conservation recently acquired the property where this bee was found and they hope to enhance the degraded oak savanna habitat there for rusty-patched bumble bees.
