Skipper
Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin County, California, USA

Size: 3/4 "

Looks like Rural skipper
with the strong black wing margins but late in the season for this species. Of note the white leading edge of the hindwing is very distinctive yet I don't recognize a specific match.

no need to move but
I'm just frustrated with available markings that I can't give definitive ID.
The white on leading edge of hindwing is very unusual and distinctive but a marking that I am unfamiliar with on western skippers.

Grass Skipper - Frassed
This cannot be reliably identified past subfamily level (Hesperiinae). Moved from Butterflies and Skippers.

head on shots are difficult to ID
Maybe a male Sachem. Any other images?
