Gondysia smithii vs. Gondysia Telma
I don't think this is Gondysia telma. On telma, the sinus is shallower on the post median line and the first bulge from the inner margin is shorter and more rounded. On smithii, the sinus is deeper and the first bulge is longer and sharper. On telma, the PM line meets the inner margin as a slightly curved line. On smithii, it meets the inner margin as a straighter line. On telma, the forewing has deep-purplish scaling, as per J.B. Sullivan's 2010 description. On smithii, there is no purple scaling. Telma is found in swamp forests where there is standing water. There is no swamp near the location where this moth was found. Smithii is found in more diverse habitats.

Sullivan, J.B. & A. Legrain, 2011. Gondysia preceded Neadysgonia (Lepidoptera, Erebidae, Erebinae), a new generic synonymy from southeastern United States.
