Looks a lot like images of Macaria distribuaria, but is just north of distribution from Moth Photographers Group (http://mothphotographersgroup.msstate.edu/species.php?hodges=6336), and Moths of North Carolina map (http://dpr.ncparks.gov/moths/view.php?MONA_number=6336.00) also shows all records being south of me.

Macaria transitaria
Bob, can you move this image one more time? Turns out it is actually Macaria transitaria (ID'd correctly by North Carolina moth expert, Bo Sullivan).

Macaria distribuaria
Now pretty sure it is Macaria distribuaria. Folks at Moths of North Carolina agree. Found a record of the same species slightly NE of my location (see: https://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/702369 ). There are Longleaf Pine trees (larval host plant) planted less than 50 yards away.
