Jug Handle State Reserve near Fort Bragg, Mendocino County, California, USA

Size: about 2.5cm
This was sitting on a leaf which I haven't identified, in the woods. It sat long enough for me to take several photos, then flew off. This location is about 2 miles in from the coast.

Forgot to mention it has a spur on the hind tibia and what look like the middle tibia. It's hard to see in the small photo, and I can't see the front tibia (unless the right front is what I'm seeing as the middle).
