I have held this photo trying to find a match for two years. Today, thanks to Sue Carnahan and Khyl Austin, I think I have a solid ID.

MPG has this genus listed in the subfamily Noctuidae and BOLD has it listed in tribe Xylenini. I'm not yet sure exactly where to create the page. (subtribe)

Xylenini (incertae sedis)
I believe that the correct placement is Xylenini >> incertae sedis per Lafontaine & Schmidt (2010) (1). I am not aware of any other changes.

For Noctuoidea, follow that checklist and its updates which are listed on the citation page. The last update was in 21018.

MPG has a better downloadable list on the "Latin Names Index" page. There you will find a "Download current MPG checklist file" link. It's updated maybe twice a year. I rarely update the image plates as it is time consuming and problematic.
