Hemileuca lucina? - Hemileuca lucina - Female
Wendell, Franklin County, Massachusetts, USA
September 16, 2017
based on proximity to available host plants (Spirea spp., Prunus spp.) and an absence of Quercus ilicifolia, flight time, and habitat (seen in early successional field very close to Spirea and Prunus, adjacent to pond and marsh, sandy-loam soils).
