Oedipodinae - Trimerotropis - male

Oedipodinae - Trimerotropis - Male
Warm Springs Natural Area near Moapa, Clark County, Nevada, USA
July 6, 2008

Moved

Either Trimerotropis pallidipennis or salina
Was this in a seasonally moist alkali flat sort of situation? The apparently large head together with that habitat would make it likely to be the second, but the first is more abundant in general, and not restricted by habitat. Generally in that area the color pattern is more plain in T. salina, but not always.

To be certain, we would need to see a spread wing (even if it is in an alkali flat habitat).
