A member of the Chloropidae, not an easy family for identification of species.

ID characters?
Neat fly, but how do you know to place it in that family? All I have for my field guide now is that some are brightly colored black-and-yellow:-)

 
Two characters
Both are best visible in the dorsal view:
1. Enlarged triangle for the ocelli. Visible as a very dark, more or less trangle-shaped marking on the top of the head.
2. Wing venation somewhat concentrated in the anterior half of the wing.
