Sphaerophoria perhaps philanthus? - Sphaerophoria

Sphaerophoria perhaps philanthus? - Sphaerophoria
Squamish, British Columbia, Canada
July 29, 2020
Size: Approx 1 cm
I'm guessing this is Sphaerophoria - contigua and philanthus look like possibilities, and philanthus is not as often reported in the west. Can you help me id this one?

The continuous yellow line to post alar callus on sides of thoracic dorsum rules out contigua. Study of male genitalia necessary for identification.

Thanks
I appreciate the id and explanation. Needless to say, the critter is long gone as I photograph only live individuals in natural settings. Thanks.
