Eff*eria? Female? Hey, help me out with this robber fly. - Neoitamus
Riley Wilderness Park, Coto De Caza, Orange County, California, USA
May 29, 2008

Not Efferia
Appears to be a Neoitamus or something close to that genus that I have never seen in CA. CA has four Neos. None overlap with our eastern species.

Thanks, Herschel
This was a chance encounter. Maybe I'll see it or another again and get more images. Will put it with Neoitamus for now.
