Larva eating Monarch egg - Chrysopa

Larva eating Monarch egg - Chrysopa
Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, USA
July 29, 2020
I found this larva seemingly eating the monarch egg at dusk. Not sure if I scared it or it decided it was distasteful, but it was gone when I returned with better lighting and it never appeared to have returned. The egg did not hatch.
