Unknown Insect/Moth - Lepidotarphius perornatella - Male
Lake Redman, York, York County, Pennsylvania, USA
July 22, 2020
Size: ~0.75 in
This was an active but weak flier next to a lake. It was the only one of its kind that I saw. Could it have a wing deformity?

Yup, this is the online second record from the east coast. I suspect it represents a second, independent introduction from the IL/IA/WI population. First record on iNat: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/53653512

Thank you so much! Pretty excited about this find. I appreciate your help!

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

I suspect that the yellow colored abdomen tip indicates that this is a male, but I don't know that for sure, yet.
Kyhl might know this, so I will send him a message. Nice catch!

Wow, I missed that one. I thought I had been through all of the spreads! You must be right. And that body is the right color too.

Bold's only public image is from Korea!!! They might have quite a range.

My comment was wrong. Jane and John got it!
