Euparius - Euparius paganus

Euparius - Euparius paganus
7.25 mi SE of Washington, Beaufort County, North Carolina, USA
August 5, 2020
Attracted to UV light overnight. Likely either E. marmoreus or E. paganus, but I'm unsure how to differentiate these two.

Moved tentatively
Moved from Fungus weevil.

Euparius marmoreus
On iNaturalist, Tyler said: "Dusted off my Euparius key to verify and I'm still pretty sure it's E. marmoreus. The mesotibiae have a single broad band of white setae that is medially interrupted by a brownish spot, but it doesn't go all the way around--- E. paganus would have this white band completely bisected by a dark band, cutting it into two separate narrow white bands. The form of the hind angles of the pronotum are also consistent with marmoreus over paganus-- bear with me here as this is somewhat difficult to describe, but the hind angle of E. marmoreus kinda curves outward into a squared-off projection; E. paganus just has a normal rounded right angle here, with no projection (taxon photos show this difference pretty well)."
