Robber - Eudioctria nitida

I believe this is Eudioctria nitida

on the basis of it having all black femora, and orange tibiae. The similar Eudioctria sackeni is described as having the fore and mid femora black dorsally, orange ventrally, and the tibiae orange, in one color form; and in the other, with black femora orange at the tip, and black tibiae orange at the base.

In fact I think I have been fooled

by the similarities between closely related Eudioctria and Echthodopa. I am studying the two genera now while I try to work out where these images belong. I believe this is actually Eudioctria nitida.

I believe this is Echthodopa pubera.

The marks are: the bright orange tibiae, and, on this male, the silvery color at the base of the wings. I have not seen this species, but it is nearly identical to the Echthodopa formosa that I find here in eastern Arkansas.

Looks

Like another Eudioctria. I have been burned before on these and supposedly BC only has two species. Compare with the sackeni shots (which again, does not look right). I have never seen nitida, your other species. Yours looks closer to the eastern tibialis, which should not be up in BC.
