Orange butterfly with spots and veins top and lower wings - Agraulis incarnata
Lafayette, Contra Costa County, California, USA
August 11, 2020
I have looked on this site and a couple of other sites for this butterfly but am not finding a good match. My husband says he saw a similar butterfly a year ago. I haven't seen a lot of them, but would like to know what it is. The orange color was so striking that I could see it at quite a distance.
