Size: about 1 1/4 inch
Nectaring on golden rabbitbrush blooms in our Central Oregon yard. Mild day, 4000 ft elevation, lodgepole and ponderosa pine woodland. Not as dark as a Field Crescent, Phyciodes pulchella. lacks dark spots at center of inner margin of the forewing characteristic of a Pale Crescent, Phyciodes pallida. Tentitive ID is Myllita Crescent,Phyciodes mylitta, a species also known to occur in this region of Oregon.
