Gorgon Copper, female - Lycaena gorgon - Female
Ice House Road, Wright's Lake area, El Dorado County, California, USA

Size: 1/2 inch +/-
I observed this copper just before I was leaving the location where I parked on Ice Road Road to go to Wright's Lake. After photo-editing the image I decided that it was a female Gorgon Copper, a lifer butterfly for me.
