Furry legged mystery - Planetella

Furry legged mystery - Planetella
Horse Hill Nature Reserve, Merrimack, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
August 14, 2020
Size: leg span app 13 mm.
This mysterious little fly would not stay still long enough for me to get any really good shots of it for identification. I've never seen anything like it, so I tried to catch it, at which it dropped some of its feet, much to my grave dismay. However this also showed me that its wings were covered in black scales and I was able to capture at least some of its wing venation. I let it go immediately after this shot and it fluttered away.
