Yikes!
Yes I'm sure that is much closer to the truth than my suggestion of a Wasp! I ought to be barred from making any more BG contributions or suggestions for at least a whole week. But the burnt orange color is typical of so many Ichneumon sp. in my area that it threw me off, I think.
