Prey, wasp(L) vs predator, robber fly(R). They were locked in aerial combat and fell from the sky onto our driveway. The mortal fight continued until death ensued.

Interesting
I know Robber Flies often take pretty big prey including wasps, it seems like you are saying there was mutual destruction.
I wonder if the wasp (Polistes sp.) got lucky, or if predator mortality is more common than thought??

It is interesting data, but I think we would have to split all 3 images to keep in guide, can reference as thumbs in comment?
