Syrphid ovipositing - female

Syrphid ovipositing - Female
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
June 6, 2008
Size: maybe 8-10 mm
I didn't get a good angle on the abdomen as she was busing laying eggs on my aphid-infested honeysuckle. I'll attach an image of one of the eggs, too - they were a bit small for my camera, but maybe I can get a better shot later, weather and kids permitting.

Moved from Syrphid Flies.

Probably Syrphinae
Syrphinae are aphid eaters; so I suspect that this is it, despite not having a good look at it.
