Floridian Grass-veneer Moth - Thaumatopsis floridella

Floridian Grass-veneer Moth - Thaumatopsis floridella
Wormsloe Historic Site, Isle of Hope, near Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia, USA
May 11, 2011

For general info
Fitz and I photographed this individual at the same time back in 2011 on a salt pan on the Georgia coast. His photo is on BugGuide as well.
My photo of Fitz while Fitz was photographing this moth.

There are several other views of this individual from various angles at this album on flickr.

My bad...
I redid the original of this photo and replaced it with essentially the identical photo of the identical individual. I frassed the old photo (I should have done an "edit" and just replaced the photo). The original photo did not conform exactly to BugGuide submission guidelines which I regret (It was not a gross infraction.) I was unaware of the guidelines at the time of the original submission and will strive to do better in the future (I'm sure I will screw up again somehow).
