A Hairstreak species - Callophrys

A Hairstreak species - Callophrys
Hickory, Newton County, Mississippi, USA
August 29, 2020
Size: Tiny!
This tiny butterfly was on a thistle flower when I first saw it. It flew a short distance to the foliage of a goldenrod. This is a view of right side. (Next submission will be left side.) Wings are a bit tattered but I'm hoping someone at BugGuide can identify this hairstreak for me.

When you have multiple photos of the same individual, the submission guidelines explain how to submit the images on the same page. Having both of your images together would have made my guess a little easier. I looked at each photo separately, but still came to the same conclusion, but since I'm not an expert, please wait for other opinions.

Your guy was really torn up, but you captured it well. Good hunting.
