Pending identification I will refer to this as the Trojan Grasshopper.

A wooden structure about 1cm long with the general form of a small grasshopper was crawling up a post. (Picture to follow.) It turned out to have this inside.

The visible portion of this creature is about 2mm long.

Edit: Identified elsewhere as some sort of bagworm.
