Note pattern on sternites. Vockeroth comments that hind femur can be yellow at base.

Thanks Bill, and big thanks for all the other help as well :). Seems to be a fairly uncommon Syrphid.. We did find it at 7000ft on a snowfield which is an extreme environment.
